I remember how it felt when anxiety ruled my life. Social situations would trigger panic attacks. Simple trips to the grocery store seemed unbearable. And I worried about every single thing. The thing was, my life was good. I really didn’t have anything to be anxious about. So why was anxiety ruining my life? The great news is that I found natural solutions for overcoming my anxiety for good. That’s why I created a course for Christian moms with anxiety. I wanted to share the natural remedies for anxiety that I learned with the mamas who are struggling as I did.
A Course for Christian Moms with Anxiety: My Story
Several years ago I was hit with a long list of health challenges including fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, anxiety, and depression. It was the darkest time of my life. More than anything, I desperately wanted to break free from these health problems, but I honestly didn’t know how to overcome them. I needed answers, and I needed them yesterday.
And to add insult to injury, I was a Christian with these conditions that aren’t visible ailments. I felt judged by some people who would say things like “just pray away your anxiety” or “your faith must be weak.” Ouch. Thanks, Susan. I finally got to the point where I stopped sharing my prayer requests with others because their responses hurt too much. And I suffered in silence.
After much prayer and searching, God led me to the answers that I had been hoping to find. I often compare the experience of discovering these answers to putting together the world’s largest jigsaw puzzle. Every piece of information that I discovered worked together to create the ultimate system for overcoming anxiety, that I use today. Here’s the thing, overcoming anxiety isn’t about just taking one pill or implemented some other conventional one-size-fits-all treatment. It’s about taking care of your body from a physical, spiritual, and emotional approach.

Why Conventional Approaches to “Fixing” Anxiety Don’t Always Work
I believe that conventional approaches are not always the best approach because they often completely ignore the ways in which physical, spiritual, and emotional health work together to create overall health. Treating these aspects of our health as though they exist in isolation isn’t going to get us very far when it comes to overcoming anxiety. Our body parts don’t function separately. Our Creator designed each part of our bodies to work together in harmony. That’s why I believe that we should treat anxiety from a holistic approach.
Overcoming Mom Anxiety
After discovering and implementing my system for overcoming anxiety, I walked in freedom from my anxious mind for several years. Then, I became a mom. Overcoming childbirth and trying to figure out this whole mom gig gave me the perfect excuse to kick my anxiety-fighting system to the curb. Unfortunately, my anxiety came back with a vengeance. I was having panic attacks, almost on a daily basis, and worrying myself sick about my new baby. What was supposed to be a sweet season of life was being overshadowed by overwhelming panic and anxiety.
My struggle with anxiety as a new mama was so much more than the normal new mom worries and out-of-control hormones. I knew this feeling all too well and I felt like I was back where I started with anxiety years ago. So, do you know what I did? I got mad. One day I woke up and decided that I wasn’t going to live like this anymore because I knew that I didn’t have to. I believed that the system that had worked wondered for me in the past could still work wonders for this new mama. So I dusted off every strategy that I had ever learned about conquering anxiety and put it back into practice.
It wasn’t long before I started to feel better. The trees seemed greener and the sky seemed bluer. I began to enjoy my sweet baby instead of being a stressed-out mama. After about a month or so I felt like my old self again. I was a functioning human being! Was I still losing sleep trying to breastfeed a newborn through the night? Heck, yes. But the task of caring for my tiny human didn’t seem so challenging anymore.
A Course for Christian Moms with Anxiety
During normal mama conversations, I started to notice a trend. Whenever I would talk about anxiety with my mama friends, many of them would reply with “me too.” Online mama forums and Facebook groups were the same. I realized that so many mamas are searching to find natural solutions for overcoming their anxiety. They are concerned about their health and want to sidestep dangerous and expensive side effects. I knew that I held the answers they needed and I couldn’t hold them back from them any longer.
So I set out to create a course for Christian moms with anxiety. I put all of my natural anxiety-fighting remedies down on paper and developed a simple-to-follow program. After almost a year of writing and designing, the “Chill Mama Method” was born. This is the program that I wish I had back when I first suffered from anxiety. Instead, I had to take tiny bits of information and piece it all together. It was time-consuming, tedious, and expensive, to say the least.
Mama, I have a few questions for you. Are you experiencing excessive worry, ongoing fatigue, difficulty concentrating, or “mom brain fog?” Do you always feel like a “mean mom” because you’re irritable and anxious? Is your life consumed with feelings of panic, anxiety in social situations, irrational fears, always feeling “on edge,” or constant feelings of overwhelm? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, the “Chill Mama Method” is for you!
Mama, you can improve your anxiety. You don’t have to put up with overwhelming anxious feelings anymore. Imagine what it would feel like to be a calm and peaceful mama…most of the time ; ). How would it feel to be more present with your husband and kids and to feel like yourself again? If you’re anything like me, having all of these things would be priceless.
